THE GAME of HIDE AND SEEK
The rules are simple: a child (“it”) closes their eyes and counts to a predetermined number while the other players hide. When the counting is over, the “it” child calls “Ready or not, here I come!” and goes searching for the other kids. The player found first will be the next seeker and the player found last is the winner.
WHY THIS GAME FOR GROWNUPS?
It takes something to “stay awake” about our life, to get “real”with ourselves. Especially in those areas or thoughts we are not talking about, not sharing with others, tired of, telling ourselves they are “fine”… or worse … hiding out from ourselves. That’s why community matters. That’s why doing it together is more fun!

HOW THE GAME WILL BE PLAYED:
We each will select one project, an area of life where we want a step forward, progress, or transformation the 30 days we’re playing together. Conversation, exercises, prompts, sharing, coaching and specific action steps will be determined by the players as wanted and needed. Taking one step of action can cause a ripple of impact. The others in the group will think of them as capable and encourage the fulfillment of steps they have decided they wish to take. The purpose of this game of hide and seek is to find ourselves, to be found, to step out in one area and demystify any power over us and to claim our right to have any outcome we choose. Progress along the way will be celebrated and acknowledged.

Life is like a marathon.
The usual marathons, the popular ones, are done in a group.
They have a start time.
A finish line.
A way to qualify.
A route.
A crowd.
And a date announced a year in advance.
Mostly, they have excitement, energy and peer pressure.
The other kind of marathon is one that anyone can run, any day of the year. Put on your sneakers, run out the door and come back 26 miles later. These are rare.
It’s worth noting that much of what we do in creating a project, launching a business or developing a career is a lot closer to the second kind of marathon.
No wonder it’s so difficult.
